The purpose of the group is to introduce people to the pleasure of participating in Scottish Country dancing. The flow of the dances, the lilt of the music and the social nature of the occasion make dancing a rewarding activity in every sense. Scottish Country Dancing is a modern version of eighteenth century European social dancing. If you've ever seen a Virginia Reel, you'll have the basic idea. There are many variations, of course.
